1 Skirt, 5 Ways
My favorite purchase that I've made recently is this snake print skirt from Topshop. It's so cute! It's high waisted which isn't always the most flattering option for me but I think that might be more of a pants struggle. The cut of this skirt seems to balance it out for me, it fits like a glove and looks great!
I saw it online and had almost forgotten about it *oops* until I went shopping at my favorite store (Nordstrom, duh) and saw it hanging on the racks. I tried it on and was absolutely sold!
The first time I wore it it was still very cold so I paired it with thermal leggings and a turtleneck and felt as chic as Barbie. :) All black with a pop of print or color is always a slimming and fun option!

I think over the knee boots would look fantastic with this outfit but I'm running rather low on OTK boots. I think I only have one pair right now actually. Sounds like there's more shopping in my future!

Of course I have to have an outfit paired with my favorite sneakers! I removed the belt for this look and now I'm thinking I might wear it that way more often! I've always loved white and I have a lot less of it in my closet than I would like. I have a tendency to stain everything and white things especially don't stay that color for very long. *insert exasperated sigh*

Of course this skirt works with color too and I wanted to feel a little dressier for the office. I layered different gold necklaces and wore my nude heels to keep it from being *too* much. Although let's be honest, I love *too* much.

And here we have my favorite outfit! If you've been wanting to try crop tops but are too self conscious or not comfortable baring your mid-riff pairing them with high waisted bottoms will help give you that extra coverage. And of course you can always add another layer like a blazer!
I love how it looks...lots of coverage with just a hint of skin peeking out. If a blazer seems too dressy you could always opt for a moto or cargo jacket instead. You could also swap the crop top underneath for a camisole or blouse, put on some pumps and your look would be completely office appropriate!

Until next time!
Ciao!
